Maamle Totimeh is the CEO of Melmade Shea, where she is responsible for business development and market creation.
With over 20 years of experience in investment banking, Maamle has a strong background in business development and capital raising for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She collaborates with entrepreneurs who produce shea butter, focusing on building their capacity and helping their businesses grow through training, mentoring, and coaching.
Maamle specializes in diagnosing the challenges that SMEs face and implementing effective policies, processes, and procedures to address these issues. Her extensive work in finance and the SME sector has provided her with valuable insights into the workings of various industries in Ghana including the shea butter industry. This experience allows her to develop solutions that foster growth and efficiency for SMEs.
Currently, as the CEO of Melmade Shea, Maamle is dedicated to supplying premium quality shea butter to the global market.
Edith Obodai
Edith Obodai is a highly skilled certified accountant with a rich background in financial reporting, budgeting, market research, corporate banking, and investments.
She holds an M.Phil. in Business Administration (Finance) and a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana. A dedicated professional, Edith is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana.
Throughout her career, she has developed a deep expertise in working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing them with vital financial and business management solutions.
Currently, she serves as an Associate at Melmade Shea, where she leads the accounting function and offers strategic guidance in market expansion and operational efficiency.
Previously, Edith held roles at the National Investment Bank, where she worked as a Credit Analyst and Branch Supervisor, improving portfolio performance and spearheading initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency.
With a passion for empowering women in Shea Cooperatives by making them financial literate. Edith continues to contribute to the financial stability and growth of small businesses, focusing on providing robust accounting frameworks.
